I have literally sifted through over a dozen pages of questions and answers. Otherwise I would like to say a general thank you to people for some of the tips I've read here. It's just a much longer, more tiresome journey and doens't complete the goal. As a side note it isn't technically necessary to build the bridge except to finish the goal because you can take the long road off to the right side of the same cliff. I think this is the area with "quicksand" as some people have called it that stops you from going over a path but I haven't been back to the second island in a while. There will be a cliff on one side and a different path to another side. So if you're on the second island on the wii version go through the cave, up the steep path, through that first area of trees and woods and what not to a large open area with crops growing around the edges like corn and sugar cane. The chasm is the same way, it's the location not an actual part of the bridge. If you are at this point you have already crafted a raft which required the ancient pillars. I play the wii version so if you play the same I can probably help you, otherwise just look for a big cliff falling into nothingness probably marked by some sort of floating footprints where it looks like there should be a bridge. Does anybody else think it is weird that in the sims (and it's always this way) a sim can be willing to propose marriage to their sweetheart but will turn it down if their sweetheart makes the suggestion first?Īs to your question specifically, peteydoll, a chasm is not an object you craft, it is a big ravine or cliff. I've had them in great moods, both have tried proposing to each other. I've tried every method I could think of. Also, and this is a lot less important, I have two sims with a 100 relationship who can romantically hug and serenade but they won't ever accept each other's proposals. How do you get hardwood? I have the shell axe but can't make the metal ore axe because I don't have hard wood and if you need that axe to get hard wood then why is it made with hardwood? I'm a little mystified about that.
